Fresh off the tail end of the Empire finale I am now anxiously awaiting the second season of Power. Each time the trailer has been shown I get annoyed because the narrator’s voice never says a date but leaves a more ambiguous detail that it returns this summer. Luckily, for me and everyone else the wait is over. The official premiere date is June 6th at 9pm on STARZ. I can’t wait to see what happens with Ghost, Tommy and the world amongst them. Stay tuned.

Empire is the best show on TV right now to say the least. The music is amazing and it captivates leaving us singing and humming the songs for days after. It leaves us with withdrawals waiting for the next hit on the following Wednesday.

The cast mixes well and that Cookie is hilarious. Her witty punchlines and attitude is like no other on TV right now. The storylines are gritty, relatable and compel us to want more.

I can’t wait until season 2. 👌👌

Of course as I was trolling the internet looking through the latest headlines I came across one that mentioned that Chris Brown is now a father. I was instantly filled with disbelief so I surfed the web and noticed different stories and one states that his now ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran (maybe for now) has wished him luck on the bundle of joy, but insists that she wants no parts in the sticky situation.

Check out her tweet –>: “Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”

The statement was then followed by a baby emoji.

Since Big Sean entered the entertainment world I’ve always been a fan, but this interview with The Breakfast Club made me respect him more and understand his vision. He is  humble, articulate, talented and laid back plus he’s from Detroit and if you didn’t know it’s Detroit vs. Everybody.

In the interview, he discusses his music, his love life, his grandmother and what drives him as well as his relationship with Kanye and other musicians. He knows what he wants to achieve professionally and personally and how to get there. Watch the full interview below ⬇️

Despite Tyga and Lil Wayne’s separately stating their desires to leave Cash Money Records, the label is currently enjoying a back-to-back run of commercial success. The week of February 15 opened with Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late debuting as the nation’s top-selling album with 535,000 copies sold in less than a week of its release.

Fellow Cash Money artist Nicki Minaj has also crossed the 500,000 mark, as Nielsen SoundScan reports Nicki moved an additional 22,000 copies of The Pinkprint to push her total sales to 509,000. The album was released in December of 2014 to mostly positive reviews and an average Metacritic score of 70.

Nicki Minaj’s previous albums, Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded have individually sold 1.93 million units and 905,000 units. The additional sales offset recent news that Nicki Minaj’s tour manager, De’Von Pickett

Let’s face it we live in a stereotypical world. We all have moments where we think something that may not be completely accurate about a different race than that of ourselves.

As I was trolling the Internet this morning, I read a short article about Zendaya Coleman, 18, being offended by a comment that was made regarding her faux locs on a segment of Fashion Police by Giuliana Rancic. The E! News anchor was quoted as saying that she probably smelled of “patchouli oil and weed.”

I usually wouldn’t write about it, but I had to because I admire Giuliana and her work ethic and I have to admit I was disappointed by her actions. There’s a difference between comical and offensive. She knows better than that. It was distasteful, rude and ignorant not to mention stereotypical. I hope she makes a public apology. I also want to commend Zendaya on her articulate yet graceful response. You go Zendaya! To read her response         ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Fresh of the heels of the latest episode of Empire, I have compiled a brief list of reasons why Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) is the baddest chick on prime-time television.

1. She takes no prisoners. She says what’s on her mind whether you like it or not. Her many catchphrases and her dicey punchlines make you laugh out loud while thinking ‘oh no she didn’t.’

2. She slays in the fashion department. Whether it’s the furs, fedoras or animal print attire that adorns her curvy frame she kills it. Her style evolves each episode.

3. She makes no apologies for who she is. She keeps it real and is no nonsense. She demands respect and will stop at nothing to get it.

4. She is about her business. She knows what true talent is and how to market it. She maintains the perfect mixture of hood and professionalism.

5. We can relate to her. We all know someone who has some of the same characteristics she has. She is intelligent, strong, beautiful and will stop at nothing to ensure she remains on top and gets every coin she missed out on in those 17 years she was in prison.

If you haven’t watched the show you need to catch up before the last four episodes premiere. Don’t get left out of the loop.

Toya Wright Explains Her Separation From Memphitz

Toya Wright is finally confirming what’s been speculated for weeks; that her marriage to Memphitz is on the rocks.

The ex-wife of Lil Wayne recently dished on her marital woes and gave her take on her hubby and his latest social media outbursts.

Via NecoleBitchie:

On the status of her and Memphtiz relationship and Why He’s Acting Out:

The current status of me and my husband [is] we are separated at the moment. And, we’re just- everybody has their marital issues. And right now, you know, we’re separated.

I mean, what is going on with my husband, like I said when I spoke on it, is it’s bigger than me. Mickey has been going through something for the last few years since the whole lawsuit thing against his ex [K. Michelle] and Viacom and it really took a toll on him and…
